How does Coltiva work?

Coltiva monitors the water and air quality parameters which are most important for plants' health and rapid growth. It also allows you to refill the reservoir with the right mix of water, nutrients and other supplements with integrated pumps. Controlled by an app, it enables you to keep your plants vigorous from any corner of the globe.
Coltiva is well-suited for both DWC and NFT systems, as well as any other kind of hydroponic cultivation where a reservoir is used.

In the plant reservoir, Coltiva measures conductivity (EC), acidity (pH), water temperature and water level. Air temperature and humidity is also recorded. The conductivity of the water indicates how much nutrients are dissolved in the water. This makes it easy to understand if the plants are being overfed or if they have too little nutrients. With the Coltiva app, you can set optimal levels for each sensor and receive instant notifications if any values fall outside the desired range.

Coltiva can be used independently or connected to up to 6 tanks, from which to refill the plant reservoir. The plant reservoir can be filled up and emptied via the Coltiva app. Using 6 reservoirs allows you to use a three parts nutrients combination to feed the plant, plus water with three different pH values for best adjustment.

In the Coltiva app, you can set threshold values for each sensor. Whenever a sensor goes out of range, you receive a notification. The app also displays changes in sensor values over time. Additionally, you can control pumps from the app to add nutrients, adjust pH levels, and drain the reservoir.
